Meet the Team

Pamela Rackow

Principal Investigator of the PYTA project
(Asthma Teamwork Intervention)

Pamela is a health and social psychologist based at the University of Stirling. She is interested in the mechanisms of behaviour change. Her research is concerned with medication adherence, especially to asthma medication, the social aspects of exercising and other health behaviours such as healthy eating and the perception of stress.

Jacqui Ackermann

Volunteer Research Assistant for the PYTA project
(Asthma Teamwork Intervention)

Jacqui started with the project in January 2020. She completed her MSc Health Psychology in 2022. Jacqui is particularly interested in digital healthcare solutions in the context of chronic conditions. She is also interested in learning disabilities, traumatic stress, and physical rehabilitation. Jacqui left the team to commence her Clinical Psychology training, but continues to act as a consultant for the PYTA project.

Maja Robertson

Volunteer Research Assistant for the PYTA project
(Asthma Teamwork Intervention)

Maja is currently an MSc Health Psychology student at the University of Stirling. She has been working within the team as a voluntary research assistant since January 2021, while completing her undergraduate degree. She joined the project as she is interested in the management of long-term health conditions, such as asthma, and she was keen to obtain experience in behavioural interventions and psychological research more generally. When she is not studying, she can be found going on long walks with her dog or reading crime fiction books.

Maria Broletti

Volunteer Research Assistant for the PYTA project
(Asthma Teamwork Intervention)

Maria is a former University of Stirling psychology student who joined the team in her final year in January 2021, wanting to gain practical research experience. She has continued as a volunteer as she completes her MSc Psychological Research at the University of Edinburgh. Maria enjoys working on other projects which focus on vaccine attitudes and the effects of yoga on wellbeing. She is also interested in cognition and mental health within neurodevelopmental conditions.

Ewelina Dytrych​

Volunteer Research Assistant for the PYTA project
(Asthma Teamwork Intervention)

Ewelina joined the team in January 2022, while completing her undergraduate psychology degree. She wanted to gain valuable experience and obtain practical research skills. Ewelina is particularly interested in behaviour change in the context of both physical and mental health. She is also passionate about mobile healthcare solutions and the use of video game elements (gamification) to increase engagement with behaviour change interventions.
